Woman perishes after being struck by a train

While her seven-year-old kid is receiving treatment at Kafue District Hospital, a woman in her early thirties passed away after being struck by a train in Kafue District.

The woman, who has not yet been recognized, was struck yesterday while she and her kid were strolling extremely close to the railway line, according to Zambia Police Deputy Spokesman DANNY MWALE.

Mr. MWALE claims that despite multiple honks from train driver LEO PHIRI, who was traveling from Choma to Lusaka, the woman was unable to move out of the way.

He claims that she was struck by the train and instantly passed away, while her son was taken to Kafue General Hospital and was later listed in stable condition.

According to Mr. MWALE, six people who were struck by a car inside the Zambia Industrial Commercial Bank Building in Central Park in Lusaka have survived with injuries.

The victims, according to Mr. MWALE, ranged in age from 25 to 30.

He has described how the Toyota Mark X’s driver lost control as he was merging onto Church road, causing an accident to occur this morning at around 8:00 a.m. at the intersection of Cairo and Church roads.

According to Mr. MWALE, the motorist veered off the road and struck the bank’s premises before striking the six employees who were inside the building.
