Zambian MPs Need to Build Their Natural Disaster Capacity

The Zambian parliamentarians’ reaction to natural catastrophes like floods needs to be strengthened, according to the African Parliamentarians on Human-Animal Health and Environment (CAPAH).

According to the chairperson, AMBROSE LUFUMA, this will give the lawmakers the knowledge they need to add to existing flood-relief strategies.

Additionally, Mr. LUFUMA has requested financial support from the UN for CAPAH’s capacity-building programs for lawmakers on health-related issues.

When UN Resident Coordinator BEATRICE MUTATI visited him at his office today in LUSAKA, he said this.

AND Ms. Mutati expressed satisfaction with CAPAH’s commitment in environmental and public health issues.
