1,000 Trees Will Be Planted By UNZA

In an effort to alter the university’s aspect into a clean, green center of excellence, the University of Zambia (UNZA) has started a tree-planting campaign.

The activity is a crucial carbon project and a key component of the plan to restrict the amounts of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, according to UNZA Acting Vice Chancellor BORNIFACE NAMANGALA.

According to Professor NAMANGALA of ZNBC News, the university aims to plant 1,000 trees by the end of the year and has thus far been successful in raising money for 664 plants.

He extended his gratitude to the venture’s working partners, such as Trade Kings and ZANACO.
