6 young Kabwata/Libala men beat a boy with iron bars

SIX young people, ranging in age from 13 to 16, have been brought before the Lusaka Magistrate’s Court for allegedly using an iron bar to strike another teenage boy in the leg.

After asking the boys to leave his parent’s yard and stoning them with bricks, the 15-year-old victim was assaulted.

In this instance, Libala and Kabwata Site and Service’s juvenile offenders are accused of assault resulting in actual bodily harm.

On January 16, six students assaulted a 15-year-old boy collectively, causing actual bodily harm to him.

Exhildah Nsunge-Chanda, a magistrate, was given the case yesterday.

According to the allegations, the victim napped in the afternoon on the relevant day and woke up at 17:00.

Then he heard a noise that appeared to be the sound of blocks being hurled into the yard.

When he got outside, he saw a bunch of youngsters sitting in the yard, and he asked them why they were throwing blocks before telling them to stop.

Infuriated by the question, one of the lads punched the victim in the left leg with an iron bar, and five more boys joined in to begin hitting the defenseless child.

Afterwards, as the six youths fled the area, the friends of the victims arrived and saved their comrade.
