As part of youth empowerment, the ministry of Youth, Sports, and Art plans to give beneficiaries 72 fuel tankers.
However, according to Minister of Youth, Sports, and the Arts ELVIS NKANDU, Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) will be handed control of the tankers rather than the recipients.
According to Mr. NKANDU, this is because the recipients lack management experience with oil tankers and won’t receive anything until they do.
He claims that OMCs will also instruct the recipients in oil tanker management.
According to Mr. Nkandu, the paperwork for the 72 oil tankers has been finished and will be issued shortly.
