17th Edition of Meetings Africa currently going on in South Africa

Eleven Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) suppliers from Zambia under the Zambia Tourism Agency (ZTA) are participating at the 17th edition of Meetings Africa currently going on in South Africa

According to Chibesa Kambalakoko, Promotion Manager for the ZAMBIA Tourist Agency (ZTA), the nation will greatly benefit from attending the Meetings Africa summit being held in South Africa.

The 17th edition of Meetings Africa is now taking place in South Africa, and it has more than ten MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) suppliers from Zambia.

These organizations include, among others, Proflight Zambia, Mulungushi Village Complex Ltd., Mulungushi International Convention Centre, Fantastic Tours Zambia, and Mukuni Big 5 Safaris Limited.

Speaking on the sidelines of the occasion, Kambalakoko described Meetings Africa as a significant commercial platform that gathers exhibitors from many African nations and beyond to display their goods and services.

According to Ms. Kambalakoko, Zambia’s involvement in such conferences is crucial because it provides a venue for information exchange, fosters cross-border tourism relationships, and aids in the development of policies that will improve the performance of the tourism industry.

Tamara Nyirenda, the first secretary of press and public relations of the Zambian High Commission in South Africa, said as much in a statement.

According to her, Zambia has a comparative edge over other nations since its expansive tourism destination locations have made it a preferred location for Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) in the sector, which have continued to draw in large numbers of tourists.

Inonge Mwenya, the Acting High Commissioner of Zambia to South Africa, expressed her happiness that Zambian businesses would be attending the Meetings Africa 2023 Conference.

Meetings Africa exists to provide a platform for exhibitors to showcase their products and services to international and local buyers, African associations and corporate planners. It is the most formidable platform on the continent for face-to-face engagements with the most influential buyers in the world, and to be part of Africa’s growth,” Ms Mwenya said.
