SITUMBEKO MUSOKOTWANE, the finance minister, has denied rumors that the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) is looking into him for allegedly engaging in corrupt practices.

According to Dr. MUSOKOTWANE, he has not been called in for an interview or summons by the ACC or any law enforcement agency regarding a corruption case.

Dr. MUSOKOTWANE declares that he will seek the proper legal remedies for the harm MUNIR ZULU caused to his reputation.

The Finance Minister claims that he has been made aware of the accusations made against him by Mr. ZULU in a video that has been widely shared on a variety of communication and information platforms.

According to Dr. MUSOKOTWANE, Mr. ZULU, who is acting in his capacity as a member of the African Parliamentary Network Against Corruption (APNAC), claims that Dr. MUSOKOTWANE is secretly appearing before the ACC to answer questions about alleged corrupt behavior.

According to Dr. MUSOKOTWANE, his office is still reachable to a variety of stakeholders both inside and beyond the public sector.

It is significant to remember, according to him, that law enforcement authorities are free to ask any public official or anybody else to provide information for a current or upcoming inquiry as part of their official duties.

He continues by saying that the aforementioned cops shouldn’t be discouraged from doing that if it aids in the establishment of facts in a case they are pursuing.

This was said in a statement made today and provided to ZNBC News in Lusaka.
