Advice Given To Health Professionals Not To Rely On Google

Health professionals are being urged to stop using the internet to treat and diagnose patients, according to the Health Professional Council of Zambia (HPCZ).

According to TERRY MUSONDA, the public relations manager at HPCZ, health professionals should be competent and well-equipped for their jobs.

Although search engines can be useful for research, Mr. MUSONDA told ZNBC News that they shouldn’t be used as a sole source of information for treating patients.

He claimed that speaking with other healthcare professionals on subjects they are unfamiliar with is not harmful.
