Nine police officers were beaten up in Katete District, according to Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security JACK MWIIMBU, and some of the suspects have entered Mozambique.
And Mr. MWIIMBU has cautioned those who break the law that police will deal with them harshly.
According to him, criminals won’t be permitted to challenge the police force without consequence.
When he made a ministerial statement in parliament about the unrest that broke out in Joweni Village in the Katete District, the minister was speaking.
And Mr. MWIIMBU praised the Police for exercising restraint rather than resorting to excessive force in Katete.
