All the African Union Member States are expected to attend the conference on young entrepreneurs that Zambia has agreed to host.
This information was revealed by Minister of Commerce, Trade, and Industry CHIPOKA MULENGA at the African Union Executive Council meeting in Niamey, Niger.
He claimed that in order for youth and women to meaningfully contribute to the continent’s expanding economies and thereby enhance their standard of living, they need additional support.
At the AU Extraordinary Summit on Industrialization and Diversification and the Extraordinary Session on the African Continental Free Trade Area, the Minister is in Niamey to represent President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA.
And during the start of the Executive Council, MOUSSA FAKI MAHAMAT, the chair of the African Union Commission, warned that until issues with Africa’s transition from one region to another are resolved, the Continental Free Trade Area may not be able to be realized.
INUTU MWANZA, the first secretary for press and tourism at the Zambian mission in Ethiopia, made this claim in a statement to ZNBC News.
