Khanyi Mbau VS Zodwa Wabantu boxing match set

Well-known actress Khanyi Mbau is set to fight influencer Zodwa Rebecca Libram aka Zodwa Wabantu at the Ridge Hotel in Mpumalanga on Sunday, 22 October.

The celebrity boxing match between The Wife star Khanyi Mbau and Zodwa Wabantu has been confirmed to Sowetan by promoter Arnold “Squire” Nododile.

Nododile reveals that the match between Mbau and Wabantu will be the first-ever female celebrity exhibition boxing match-up in the African continent.

The media personalities previously made headlines after it was reported that they once shared Mandla Mthembu, who was married to Mbau and they allegedly have children by Mthembu.

Nododile adds that they have partnered with Sanabo to host three female amateur bouts between Mpumalanga and Limpopo as curtain raisers.

The publication adds that Nododile’s is in advanced stages of finalising a broadcast partnership with BET Africa.

“I expect a big attendance due to the massive following they have,” added Nododile.

Award-winning rapper Cassper Nyovest lost to singer and actor Anga “Naakmusiq” Makubalo in Sun City in the North West in April 2022.

The Mafikeng rapper then knocked out multi-talented rapper Priddy Ugly in just 2 minutes at SunBet Arena in Tshwane on Saturday evening, 2 October 2022.

Then he fought Big Zulu in April, who smashed Cassper’s face with a hammer fist, and won the match with a knockout in the first round.
