The boyfriend of a 16-year-old girl in Chasefu district is accused of killing her.
LIMPO LIYWALII, the Eastern Province Police Commanding Officer, reports that the boyfriend and his alleged murderous companion have both been taken into custody.
The accused are RODWELL HARA and LYANISO HARA, both 19 years old, according to Mr. LIYWALII.
The victim’s name has been given as TIBAKOMOLE CHIRWA.
In an interview with ZANIS, Mr. LIYWALII revealed that the police had received a report from EPHRAIM CHIRWA claiming that RODWELL had allegedly killed his daughter TIBAKOMOLE in the Magodi Chiefdom.
He claimed that in response to the report, police went to the crime scene and discovered the deceased’s half-naked body lying face-up with no visible signs of injuries.
According to Mr. LIYWALII, the incident occurred on December 3 between the hours of 15:00 and 18:00.
He added the two suspects are currently being held by the police to aid in the inquiry while the deceased’s body has been placed in the morgue of the Lundazi Urban Clinic in anticipation of an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
