To serve the district’s schools, eight cooperatives in the Chipata district have started manufacturing desks.
Over 10,000 workstations are currently being produced by the cooperatives, which are primarily made up of women and young people.
After visiting the cooperatives, Chipata District Commissioner ELIDA BANDA expressed her optimism that all the district’s schools will receive service.
ISA DAKA, one of the cooperative’s organizers, urged the schools to issue them commands.
Additionally, HELLEN PHIRI, chairwoman of the Eastern Province UPND, urged women in the area to start desk-making businesses because there are many prospects.
