FAZ Requests That Agents Act Professionally

Football agents in Zambia have been urged by the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) to perform their tasks with professionalism.

According to FIFA’s rules, all football agents must keep professional standards when marketing and selling players to other clubs and leagues. This is according to FAZ President Andrew Kamanga.

KAMANGA stated that agents are essential in guiding players’ careers in a speech delivered on his behalf by deputy general secretary JOSEPH CHIMPAPWE at the FIFA agents orientation session today in Lusaka.

IVA LENGWE, the FAZ registrar and manager of club licensing, remarked during the same event that the current standard of operations by agents is not sufficient and should be improved with the implementation of the new standards.

LENGWE stated that with the new regulations in place, it is anticipated that player transfers will be transparent and professional.
