This month is anticipated to see the completion of the Great North Road expansion at Mungule Junction in Chibombo, Central Province.
More than half of the work has already been completed, according to Road Development Agency -RDA- Acting Director Communications and Corporate Affairs, Anthony Mulowa.
The traders, whose buildings were destroyed two months ago to make room for the road’s extension, are still waiting to be moved.
They have urged the local authorities to quicken the process of finding them a new location after their stores were destroyed.
Moreover, SIBANDA CHITAMBIRA, a councilor for Katuba Ward, has informed the traders that they will be transferred as soon as land is secured.
