Lolian Chona, 47, was a passenger in a Toyota Land Cruiser that was struck by a truck at the Kalumbila open pit mine. Both North Western and FQM police have confirmed this to Mwebantu.

Dennis Moola, the commanding commander of the North Western region, claims that a Toyota Land Cruiser that was stopped was struck by the dump truck and thrown to the ground.

He claimed that Mr. Chona suffered fatal injuries and passed away immediately away, while Davis Muyata, 35, was brought to Marybergy Clinic with many injuries, including a battered face and right arm.

“The accident happened yesterday about 23:50 hrs at Kalumbila Mine pit 1088 area. Involved was male Exevior Bwalya 42, who whilst driving an RD284 dump truck hit into a Toyota Land Cruiser,” Mr Moola said.
