FRA Sets Off Maize Sales

The Food Reserve Agency (FRA) has ended the maize auction for the agricultural marketing season of 2021–2022.

The agency was permitted to sell 790 metric tonnes of Grade A white maize on both domestic and international markets, according to FRA Board Chairperson KELVIN HAMBWEZYA.

He claims that the program is now over and that the FRA is putting the finishing touches on internal closing processes.

Since then, Mr. HAMBWEZYA has encouraged FRA clients to refrain from making any more applications for the 2021–2022 Maize Sales Program.

He advises clients not to make any deposits in relation to the just concluded program, claiming that doing so would be extremely inconvenient for them.
