Gov Publishes Directives For The Carbon Market

In an effort to safeguard the carbon market, the Ministry of Green Economy and Environment has released its interim guidelines on carbon marketing and trading.

Government does not want to keep losing money from the carbon market, according to COLLINS NZOVU, minister of green economy and environment.

According to Mr. NZOVU, the government wants to capitalize on this unique source of climate financing and make sure that everyone, particularly those who live in rural regions, benefits from it.

He notes that among other technical issues, the standards will cover international best practices, verification, monitoring, and qualification of carbon measurement.

This was said by Mr. NZOVU this morning at the opening of the interim guidelines at his workplace.
