Government has started advertising for the supply, delivery and distribution of farming inputs for the 2023-2024 farming inputs under the Farmer Input Support Programme.
Agriculture Minister REUBEN MTOLO says Government wants the supply of D compound and urea fertilizer to be done efficiently.
Mr. MTOLO explains that the procurement of fertilizer will be done using two procurement methods namely open and international bidding.
He says local partnerships with the private players are allowed.
Mr. MTOLO told the media in Lusaka today that the decision to allow local manufactures is in line with Government policy to encourage the manufacturing sector to grow.
