In order to attend the “Transform Africa summit 2023” being held at the Elephant Hills resort in Victoria Falls Town, President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has landed in Livingstone on his way to Zimbabwe.
At 18:53, the presidential aircraft landed down at Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport.
President HICHILEMA will join other African Heads of State and Government, including President of Rwanda PAUL KAGAME, according to Foreign Affairs Minister STANELY KAKUBO.
Mr. KAGAME is the Chairman of the Governing Board of the 36-nation Transform Africa Alliance, which includes Zambia.
President HICHILEMA will attend both the 11th Smart Africa Alliance Board Meeting and the Presidential and Leaders Conversation Session, according to a statement from Mr. KAKUBO.
He said that President HICHILEMA would support investments in fields including information and communication technology, energy, mining, tourism, the green economy, agriculture, business and industry, and transportation that have a great potential for job creation.
The topic of the summit will be “Connect, Innovate, and Transform.”
On April 26, 2023, President HICHILEMA is anticipated to make his way back to Lusaka.
