Actor Olwethu Mackay (Senzo Zwide) reveals his plans after leaving ‘House of Zwide’

South African actor Olwethu Mackay who played Senzo Zwide on House of Zwide exited the fashion drama on Monday, 17 July, when his character got killed. The rising star Olwethu Mackay, who’s popularly known for playing Vusi Kunene’s on-screen son Senzo Zwide in House of Zwide, revealed to a local publication on Tuesday, 18 July that he’s joined an agency.

Mackay told the publication that he’s just joined an agency and he’s excited to see what they have in store for him.

He added that he’s also been flexing his screenwriting muscles and has been in communication with several producers, screenwriters, and directors in order to fine-tune his work.

“I hope to expand my knowledge and skill set in this field.”

The talented actor also thanked Bomb Productions for giving him the opportunity to play the teenage character in the fashion drama.

The 19-year-old AFDA student added that Bomb Productions provided him with a lifetime’s worth of experience and knowledge that he can take with him to future jobs.

TVSA House of Zwide July teasers reported that the actor Olwethu Mackay, who played Funani Zwide’s youngest son Senzo Zwide for two seasons got killed on Monday night’s episode, 17 July, when season three began.

The teasers also reveal that his parents Faith (Winnie Ntshaba) and Funani were devastated when they heard about their son’s death, and Faith was convinced it Nandipha was responsible.

7de Laan actress and singer KB Motsilanyane joined the show as Alex Khadzi’s sister Nandipha to look for him when he went missing.

Nandipha, who’s a lawyer suspected the Zwides of killing her brother and killed Senzo, who was lying in a coma in hospital.

Alex (Warren Masemola) got shot and killed by Nkosi Zwide (Wanda Blaq Zuma) when he attempted to kill his father. The Zwides and Isaac Molapo (Jeffrey Sekele) buried him and Faith advised Nkosi to not report the matter to the police.

Wednesday, 19 July reveals that the autopsy report will reveal there was no foul play in Senzo’s death but Funani will find out that the Doctor is in Nandipha’s pockets.

Thursday, 20 July reports that Senzo will get buried and his family will bid him farewell: “Funani says some beautiful words as the Zwides lay their son to rest.”
