Imf Willing To Help Zambia Fix Debt

According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), it is giving Zambia’s creditors all the information and guarantees they require in order for them to come to an amicable agreement over the negotiations.

This, according to KRISTALINA GEORGIEVA, Managing Director of the IMF, will aid in hastening the resolution of the nation’s debt problems.

Ms. Georgieva continues by saying that the IMF is making constant efforts to assist Zambia in settling its debt issues with its creditor.

She visited Finance Minister STUMBEKO MUSOKOTWANE in his office when the IMF Managing Director was addressing the audience.

And Dr. MUSOKOTWANE stated that the government’s first priority has been to address Zambia’s huge debt.

He explained why the government is concentrating on promoting debt reduction.

Dr. MUSOKOTWANE also commended the IMF for its ongoing assistance in reducing Zambia’s debt.
