The government has given Situnga Primary School in Senanga, Western Province, 280,000 Kwacha to rebuild a computer lab.
Whirlwind damage to the computer lab in 2021 prevented the school from offering computer instruction to the students.
A contract for the project has also been given to a private contractor, according to Nicholas Lubinda, Director of Works for the Ministry of Local Government.
In order to accommodate the roughly 700 students enrolled at the school, school headteacher MUNALULA MAYUMBELO also mentioned the need for additional furniture and infrastructure.
