According to WARMA, the Kalumbila Area may begin to see significant flooding today.
The flood monitoring system completed on April 3, 2023 indicates a risk of severe flooding on the Mutanda River in North Western Province, according to WARMA Public Relations Officer MUBIANA NALWENDO.
According to information, the Kalumbila District’s Mutanda River, a tributary of the Lunga River, is currently displaying a trigger for severe flooding that is projected to peak today.
Settlements around the Mutanda area will be affected by the floods, particularly those close to the bridge on the Solwezi-Mutanda Road.
Residents near river systems have been advised by the government to use extreme caution and avoid traveling on flooded roads and bridges.
