Kasomeno-mwenda Project Debates Need To Be Quickly Concluded, Says Milupi

The joint Zambia-DRC steering group for the Kasomeno-Mwenda toll road project and one-stop border post has been urged by Infrastructure, Housing, and Urban Development Minister CHARLES MILUPI to swiftly resolve all lingering issues on the project.

According to Mr. MILUPI, in order to expedite the project’s start, the steering group must resolve all outstanding project-related issues and offer suggestions on any topic that needs the consent of the two governments.

Speaking in Livingstone at the official beginning of the intergovernmental meeting on the Kasomeno-Mwenda toll road project and one-stop border post between the Kasenga and Mwense districts of Zambia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Minister was discussing the project.

NICO NZAU NZAU, the steering committee delegation leader from the DRC, emphasized the significance of the project in enhancing the social and economic conditions of the two nations and the SADC area as a whole.

The project, according to the Chief Executive Officer of Contractor GED Africa, KLAUS FINDT, will clear up traffic along the Kasumbalesa border and boost trade between the two nations.
