Leeroy Sidambe ordered to pay R30 million

Well-known South African influencer Mihlali Ndamase’s man, Leeroy Sidambe has reportedly been dodging the taxman for a year.

According to Sunday World, Sidambe owes the South African Revenue Service (SARS) almost R30 million.

SARS is said to have applied for a court order at the Johannesburg High Court to force the businessman – who owns a security company called Sakhile Ezweni Group – to settle his bill or his assets with be attached and sold.

A letter was reportedly sent to Sidambe on 17 October, stating that he should cough up R29 955 350.74. In the letter, it is revealed that he initially owed R24 million, however, it has since accumulated.

The Zimbabwean-born businessman’s financial woes do not end there. In September, Sunday World reported that he had been ordered by the court to pay spousal maintenance and accommodation rent for his estranged wife.

It was reported that Sidambe’s estranged wife obtained a court order at the Johannesburg High Court.

In her argument, she said that because her ex can afford to shower Mihlali with luxury gifts and vacations, he can afford to pay spousal maintenance to the amount of R156 000.

The wife further reportedly argued that the businessman is paying for the social media personality’s up-market cluster house in Bryanston, which is said to be more than the R100 000 he pays for the bond of their marital home.

In another argument for her R156 000 maintenance bid, the woman claimed that the couple had spent several nights at a 5-star hotel in Mexico which costs about R28 693 per night out of season.

“In a picture from Ndamase’s Facebook profile, uploaded on or about December 5 2022, Ndamase is seen reading a book while surrounded by eight Louis Vuitton shopping bags, displays a Louis Vuitton handbag with a further three-year Yves Saint Laurent shopping packages in the background,” read the papers.

The court order was also to force Sidambe to return the luxury Range Rover Vogue Autobiography he had bought for the wife and later allegedly gave it to Mihlali.
