“lower Taxes On Electric Vehicles”

According to the Zambia Electric Mobility Innovation Alliance, the Ministry of Finance is being asked to reevaluate levies on the importation of electric vehicles.

Only 35 electric vehicles are now in the country, according to Alliance President KABAYO MUHAU, because it is extremely expensive to import them.

Zambia presently spends roughly 1.2 billion dollars on fuel yearly, according to Mr. MUHAU, who said on ZNBC TV2’s Morning Live program that switching to electric vehicles will help the government save on foreign cash.

He continued by saying that the nation should establish laws and a framework for the production of electric vehicles and batteries.
