According to the Lusaka District Administration office, it is being considered to permanently evict households from some flood-affected regions.

According to ROSA ZULU, the district commissioner for Lusaka, the government wishes to minimize the annual transfer of homes since it is quite expensive.

Ms. ZULU stated a team of officials has been sent to the affected districts to assess the situation while speaking to ZNBC news in Lusaka.

While waiting for a long-term solution to the issue, Ms. ZULU stated that her office is aware of some households that wish to return to their homes. However, she urged the affected families to be patient.
