MASEBO Advises Vendors on the Street

SYLVIA MASEBO, the country’s minister of health, has encouraged street vendors to cooperate with the government to stop the spread of cholera.

In order to reduce their risk of getting infections, Ms. MASEBO has further urged street vendors to diversify their business models.

When providing an update on the COVID-19 Pandemic in Zambia, she said this in the National Assembly.

Ms. MASEBO added that 70% of school-aged children have received a COVID-19 vaccination.

According to the minister, persons who have received the vaccination have a low risk of contracting COVID-19.

She added that vaccination further ensures that individuals who become ill won’t suffer significantly.

Ms. MASEBO continued by saying that the government had made sure that schools were routinely cleansed to protect students from the disease.
