The Ministry of Green Economic and Environment has raised $600 million this year to support upcoming climate change and green economy initiatives, according to Etambuyu Katota.
More resources will be mobilized in 2023, according to Permanent Secretary JOHN MSIMUKO, to support more activities.
He continues by saying that this year, the government also took important steps to address deforestation and climate change.
According to Mr. MSIMUKO, President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA signed a partnership agreement with the European Union at COP 27 in November as part of efforts to combat deforestation and forest degradation.
He claims that numerous initiatives have been started this year to make sure that the nation is a powerful player on the carbon market.
