Ni hao ma? Stanley Kakubo, the minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation, consults with his Chinese counterpart

Zambia and China are dedicated to establishing economic ties, according to Stanley Kakubo, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

This comes after Mr. Kakubo and his Chinese counterpart, the new Foreign Affairs Minister Qin Gang, spoke on the phone.

He claimed that among other topics covered during their conversation, Zambia-China relations, economic and development collaboration, and reinforcing already solidified bilateral ties were also brought up.

“This afternoon [yesterday], we have had our first telephone conversation with my counterpart, China’s new Foreign Minister, H.E Qin Gang. We went further to reassure one another of the commitment of our Heads of State to forge forward in increasing close cooperative ties,” he said.

The Minister stated that extensive discussion about Zambia’s debt took place during their meeting, and he added that both countries will continue to press for the negotiations to be concluded.
