“Opportunity Alert: Apply for Cambridge Trust Scholarship Awards Now!”

Use our scholarship search (on the right) to find a list of scholarships for which you may be eligible, for courses starting in the academic year 2023/24. Please read the information for each scholarship carefully as some awards require a separate application, and there may be additional criteria.

Please note, as we are often renewing our scholarship agreements the list of available scholarships in any academic year is subject to change.  We would advise you to check the list regularly.

All scholarships are available only for study at the University of Cambridge, and require that you apply to the University via the normal online application form, and by the relevant deadline (please see below for deadlines).

Eligibility

Applicants must be intending to start a course at the level of:

  • Undergraduate (excluding UK applicants)
  • Masters (such as MPhil, MASt, LLM)
  • Research postgraduate (such as PhD)

The Trust does not offer full-cost scholarships for MBA or MFin programmes.  The Trust will consider co-funding students on MBA and MFin who are nominated to the Trust by funding partners (who may have their own procedures for applying).

The Trust is unable to offer scholarships for part-time MSt courses at any Department within the University.  Please note, MSt courses are not the same as MASt courses.

Please read the Trust’s webpages on eligibility.

Application Process

There are different procedures for applying for undergraduate study (BA and similar) and for postgraduate study (Masters, PhD and similar).

You must have applied for admission to the University by the relevant deadline (see below) and have a conditional offer of admission to be considered for Cambridge Trust funding.

If a separate application is required, you must have applied to the University by the relevant deadline (see below) and have a conditional offer of admission, in conjunction with submitting the separate application, in order to be considered.

Deadlines

Undergraduate study

The UCAS application deadline for 2023 entry is 15 October 2022, 6.00 pm (UK time)

However, there are some exceptions.  If you are applying for undergraduate study and wish to be interviewed in Malaysia or Singapore, the deadline is 21 September 2022.

Postgraduate study

If you are applying for postgraduate study, please check and apply by the funding deadline specific to your course.  You will need to indicate on your application form that you wish to be considered for funding.

There are two general course funding deadlines of 1 December 2022 and 5 January 2023. These deadlines apply to both UK and overseas applicants.  These deadlines apply to courses starting in Michaelmas Term (October 2023), Lent Term (January 2024) and Easter Term (April 2024).

Awards Process

As the Trust receives an extremely large number of applications, your patience would be appreciated while waiting for a decision.  The Trust’s awards period runs from March to the end of July and is an ongoing process throughout that period. The majority of our full awards are made in March, but some of our partner-funded awards can take longer to process.  In addition, we may able to promote reserve candidates if and when offers are declined.

As long as you have applied by the funding deadline and have a conditional offer of admission for your course, you will be considered for any awards for which you are eligible.  Your application will remain under consideration until the end of our awards period.

Please note that due to the number of applications the Trust receives, it is not possible to notify unsuccessful applicants.  Awardees will be notified as soon as possible.

More information

There are a significant number of other funding sources available for postgraduate applicants to the University of Cambridge, details of which can be found on the University’s Postgraduate Funding Search.

Before making an application to the University, research thoroughly your chosen course of study (via the University website).
