After a marital argument, a 24-year-old lady from Kafue district is accused of killing her husband and has been detained.
According to allegations, ANGELA LETICIA worked with her brother EMMANUEL NIZEYIMANA to murder DUSABIMANA FURUJOTSE MUKWIYE NGONO, her spouse of 30 years.
The dead, the suspect, and her brother are all of Rwandan descent.
In a statement to ZNBC News, police deputy spokesperson DANNY MWALE acknowledged the incident that took place on December 5, 2022.
According to Mr. MWALE, the taxi driver PRINCE HIMOONZE, who has since been detained, was allegedly hired to dispose of the body.
After the body was held inside the house, he claimed, the two went to the taxi driver, who suggested they cut off the legs so the body would fit in his car.
The body was eventually driven to Mazabuka’s MAGOYE neighborhood, where it was dumped, according to Mr. MWALE.
He claimed that after being sent there, police discovered the remains in a degraded state.
According to Mr. MWALE, the body has subsequently been placed in the mortuary at Mazabuka General Hospital in preparation for the postmortem.
