The Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security has been instructed by President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA to make sure that no journalist is detained for performing their duties.

He claimed that the Ministry of Home Affairs and Police had been directed to guarantee that journalists are not harassed while performing their duties.

However, the President has warned the media to tell the truth and refrain from frightening the country.

The media, according to President HICHILEMA, should be accountable in their reporting and refrain from spreading false information.

Additionally, President HICHILEMA asked citizens to observe moderation while celebrating the holiday season.

Mr. HICHILEMA has additionally advised Zambia to drive safely and responsibly, noting that accidents typically increase during holidays.
