Over 70 motor vehicles have been seized by the Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) for a variety of infractions committed over the holiday season in the Mazabuka district of Southern Province.
According to RTSA Public Relations Officer ROY HABAALU, most drivers have been breaking traffic laws and safety regulations, which has resulted in fatal road carnage.
According to Mr. HABAALU, the agency has monitored the spike in drunk driving incidents during this time with concern.
He claims that the organization has also seen some vehicles that are not fit for the road.
After several patrols, he was chatting in Mazabuka yesterday night.
