Saudi Arabia and Zambia Look for more trade

In order to boost trade volumes between Zambia and Saudi Arabia, according to CHEMBO MBULA, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, proactive engagements are required.

According to Mr. MBULA, Zambia and Saudi Arabia can explore collaboration in the fields of investment, mining, research, and technology, as well as youth, sports, and culture.

When the Joint Permanent Commission, Committee of Senior Officials Meeting between Zambia and Saudi Arabia officially began its fourth session in Lusaka today, he made this statement.

Mr. MBULA stated that efforts are being undertaken to finalize a number of unfinished agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two nations.

And given the numerous promising opportunities in fields including commerce, investment, and technology, Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, AHMED ALKHAMSHI, said the meeting marks a practical step in the route to enhancing cooperation between the two countries.

Mr. ALKHAMSHI emphasized the importance of the private sector in implementing economic cooperation and the need to prioritize their engagement in both nations.
