Social Money Distributed to 4,100 Kalulushi residents

Almost 4,100 Social Cash Transfer recipients in Kalulushi, on the Copperbelt, have begun receiving payments from the government.

The program is intended to improve the lives of all disadvantaged Zambians, especially the elderly and those with special needs, according to Kalulushi District Commissioner KELLY JIBINGA.

This was said by Mr. JIBINGA in Kalulushi when he signaled the beginning of the monthly payments for January and February.

He has revealed that the district’s vulnerable households are being sought out by the Ministry of Community Development and Social Welfare for inclusion in the program.

The recipients are from the Lunga, Twapelwa, Federation, new Munsenga, and Luena wards, according to district social welfare assistant AUDREY MWANZA who spoke earlier.
