Lerato Kganyago’s husband is allegedly in arrears of R486 000 of his R28 000 rent as per the agreement between him and the landlord signed on 1 September 2021. It was reported that Ndlala has since taken his landlord to court, demanding to be reimbursed R1.3 million he allegedly spent on doing renovations on the rented property.

In 2020, Thami Ndlala also found himself in hot water after a barrage of theft allegations laid against him by different people which were also widely shared on social media, IOL reported.
