The 2023 AFCON is one of the team’s goals, according to the captain of the Zambian Men’s Under-17 National Football team, AARON PHIRI.
According to PHIRI, the team will make sure they reach the final of the COSAFA tournament, which will be held in Malawi during the region’s five games, in order to realize their goal.
Speaking from MALAWI, PHIRI stated that the team is anxious to start its 2022 COSAFA Campaign off successfully.
The players underwent MRI scans, according to team physician MUTIMBA MPABALWANI, to decide which players are healthy enough to compete.
He also said that there are no injuries to worry about and that all players are well enough to compete.
