The government has received praise from the National Union of Miners and Allied Workers (NUMAW) for stopping load shedding, which has allowed mines to continue operating productively.
Load shedding, according to SAUL SIMUJIKA, national president of NUMAW, had the potential to endanger the jobs of many people by forcing businesses to reduce their output.
According to Mr. SIMUJIKA, miners on the Copeprbelt are pleased with President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA’s commitment to enhancing the industry.
After President HICHILEMA, who is in the Copperbelt for a two-day working visit, met with Mining unions and Suppliers in Ndola, he gave an interview last night.
Also, Mr. SIMUJIKA commended the head of state for making time to meet with everyone involved in the mining industry.
