Ackleo Banda, a Vubwi member of parliament, has urged residents of his district to show up in large numbers and receive cholera vaccinations.
As cases continue to rise, Mr. BANDA told ZNBC in Lusaka that the situation is becoming concerning.
He claimed that vaccinations are the only way to keep the waterborne sickness under control.
If people refuse the vaccine procedure, the sickness will spread to other areas, according to Mr. Bana.
By yesterday, there had been 42 total cases of cholera reported in Vubwi, with one fatality, while there had been seven cases in Mwansabombwe, in the province of Luapula.
