The World Health Organization (WHO) has promised to provide technical assistance to the National Health Insurance Management Authority (NHIMA) and the Zambia Medicines and Regulatory Authority (ZAMRA) in order to strengthen the medical supply procurement process.
The action aims to support the government’s initiatives for the provision of high-quality healthcare and insurance.
Also committing to assisting President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA in his capacity as Global Cholera Control Champion is the World Health Organization.
In a meeting with Zambia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva and Vienna, Eunice Luambia, WHO Director General TEDROS GHEBREYESUS, pledged the support on Monday.
Ms. LUAMBIA commended the WHO for providing technical and financial assistance to Zambia during the COVID-19 problem during the conference.
