Beds Delivered to the Petauke District Hospital

419

In the Eastern Province’s Petauke District Hospital, 200 mattresses and blankets costing over K300,000 were delivered.

The healthcare facility, which provides services to more than 5,000 people, has been making do with a small number of mattresses that are likewise in poor condition.

EMMANUEL BANDA, a member of parliament for Petauke Central, claims that because the facility serves six electoral districts, there is a long-standing need for beds and blankets.

When Harvest Foundation presented the grant to the hospital administration, Mr. Bana further stated that patient comfort had been diminished over time.

Petauke District Commissioner MARTHA MULENGA praised the Harvest Foundation for working with the government to enhance health services in her remarks at the same ceremony.

And Harvest Foundation’s SAM IBEMERE, Head of Media Cooperate Communications, claims that the group has a goal to improve healthcare by working with the government to establish standards of quality.

The donation, according to GODFREY MWALE, Clinical Care Officer at Petauke District Hospital, could not have come at a better moment as the hospital has been in desperate need of beds and blankets.
