Operations have returned to normal at Chipata Central Hospital’s Ward E, which was flooded on Wednesday after a significant downpour.

According to MATHEWS NG’AMBI, the medical director for Eastern Province, the hospital’s obstructed drainage system was to blame for the flooding.

According to Dr. NG’AMBI, no damage was done to the hospital as a result of the water, and the drainage has since been improved.

When Chipata Mayor GEORGE MWANZA and Eastern Province Deputy Permanent Secretary BEAUTY PHIRI visited the ward to assess the situation, he was speaking.

According to Ms. PHIRI, the government is aware of the difficulties the hospital is having, such as its aging infrastructure.

Additionally, Mr. MWANZA requested assistance from stakeholders for the hospital’s structural repairs.
