Video: Cristiano Ronaldo has Costa Titch’s mom emotional

After seeing her late son’s idol Cristiano Ronaldo dancing to his music in a recent viral video, it was a bittersweet moment for Costa Titch’s mother, Lara Langeveld.

Instagram’s most followed person who boasts 549 million followers jammed to hit amapiano track Ma Gang.

Sadly, the pint-size star – real name Costantinos Tsobanoglou – died on 11 March after suddenly collapsing on stage. The rapper was performing at the Ultra Music Festival in Johannesburg.

A cause of death has yet to be established.

Cristiano Ronaldo who plays for Saudi Arabia club Al-Nassr posted a workout video on his Instagram account. The post was set to the late Costa Titch’s song Ma Gang featuring Champuru Makhenzo.

In the post, a shirtless CR7 lifts weights in an outdoor workout. In a surprising move, the Portuguese star then performs Costa’s famous dance move.


Speaking to the publication, Costa Titch’s mom Lara revealed her heartache after seeing the video.

She said: “I had an image of Costa being so happy seeing Cristiano it made me cry that he was not alive to see it”.

Lara added that the family was “half-Portugeuse” and were “big fans” of the soccer player.

Lara also shared her joy seeing a video of US R&B singer Chris Brown dancing to Costa Titch’s music.

She added: “He was who Costa danced to growing up.”

Recently, US singer Swae Lee also acknowledged Costa’s death, as did fellow hitmaker Akon.
