A Chama District Hospital employee has been detained on suspicion of stealing numerous medications.
The handyman LEONARD MUNE is accused of stealing the various medications, which he then tried to sell to a nearby merchant.
The arrest of MUNE’s accomplice, BOYD KAUNDA, has been confirmed by the Muchinga Provincial Police Commanding Officer, KAUNDA MUBANGA.
When MUNE was ordered to the hospital storage on March 6, 2023 to gather medications for the dispensary, Mr. MUBANGA has revealed that MUNE stole the medication.
But, the guy who was meant to purchase the medication denounced MUNE and KAUNDA to the police, he said.
