Due to a paucity of security personnel in the area, the Zambia National Service (ZNS) claims it would not establish a cannabis plantation in the KABOMPO District.

According to ZNS Commander Lieutenant General MALITI SOLOCHI, the organization will establish a hemp plantation for therapeutic uses.
According to General SOLOCHI, who spoke to ZNBC News, the cannabis plantation would now be established in places like Lusaka at fields around ZNS Airport where there is sufficient protection.
