Government will boost FAZ funding

The government claims that because of the numerous competitions the national teams are taking part in, it will raise funding to the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) this year.

The funding will be greater than the K41 million allocated in May of last year, according to Sports Minister ELVIS NKANDU.

In his interview with ZNBC Sports News, NKANDU also urged FAZ to make sure that they mobilize their own resources so that the government can meet them halfway.

The Men’s Under 17 and Under 20 teams will compete in AFCON competitions, and the Copper Queens will represent Africa in the Women’s FIFA World Cup this year. The Chipolopolo will continue its AFCON qualifying campaign in March.
