The government intends to woo investors into the mining sector to promote exploration and development of green field projects, according to SITUMBEKO MUSOKOTWANE, Minister of Finance and National Planning.

According to Dr. MUSOKOTWANE, the action will promote the government’s plan to diversify the mining industry and boost the nation’s net foreign earnings.

Dr. MUSOKOTWANE stated the Government has overhauled the Mineral Royalty tax framework to conform with worldwide good practice to promote investment in the industry when he opened the first institutional investors Forum.

He claimed that restructuring is being done to increase the sector’s investment appeal.

The event has been planned, according to MN Capital Group Chief Executive Officer MICHAEL NDINISA, to establish a platform to spark investment interchange.
