HH: After retiring, public employees shouldn’t be left penniless

According to President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA, retirees from the public sector shouldn’t fall into poverty.

This is the reason, according to President HICHILEMA, that his administration has made sure that all retirees receive their dues payments within three months of ceasing employment.

Approximately 3,000 retirees, according to him, have had their dues reimbursed in full since the UPND took office in August of last year.

This was expressed by President HICHILEMA today in Lusaka when he opened the Public Service Pensions Fund-owned Long Acres Mall.

This was stated in a speech that Minister of Finance and National Planning SITUMBEKO MUSOKOTWANE read for him.

President HICHILEMA also stated that employment development is a top priority for his administration.

He claimed that once the Long Acres Mall is fully operational, it will generate roughly 1,000 employment.
